To end the year in the Titan Garden, the first grade classes had wreath making activities. They used all natural materials from the outdoors including live plants like pittosporum, nandina, foxtail fern, artemesia, and rosemary, pine cones and cinnamon sticks. They each chose a few items then wired them on to the wreath form. Nandina and pyracantha berries added deep red splashes of color. Finally, the teacher got to choose a bow to add to the wreath.
The six wreaths hung on the garden fence for the last two weeks of the year- perhaps you got a glimpse driving into the parking lot or waiting in the car pick-up line?
Each of the wreaths was completely unique but all of them were stunning! Take a look... (click on the photo to get a better look)
